Thank you for the story of your how you go your pup. It's heartwarming but very sad at the same time... and you have to wonder what became of the others. I have always said there should be some sort of test people have to take before getting pets - some people are just too stupid and insensitive. (I say the same about having kids, by the way, but I'm sure the activists would love that.) Our pound pup had been in his cell for 3 months when we took him home, and they hardly ever keep dogs around that long at the Humane Society. They told us he weighed 80 lbs. when he was dropped off (keep in mind he's 7 years old), and we knew he looked emaciated, but when our vet checked him out... he only weighed 57 lbs. He'd lost that much in 3 months! We couldn't imagine him ever having weighed 80. We thought it must have been a mistake. Yesterday, he had his yearly check-up, and he weighs 75. I guess 80's not out of the picture because he looks damn healthy now.

You like Esthero? I was a huge fan of her first album, but I found the second one disappointing - and after such anticipation. It's got a couple good ones, but...

i'm sorry, the only story i can think of involves how i spent most of my evening two nights ago sitting on someone's front steps with a puppy who seemed very much abandoned, and i already wrote that one out on my other blog thingy. the short of it: finally found her home and all was well, she must have just snuck out somehow. happy ending and all.

well, at least you have beautiful views close to home to use your good camera on. i'm sure you have lovely mental pictures of your former travel days though, and sometimes that can mean a lot more. i used to spend so much time behind the camera, afraid i'd forget a scene, that i never experienced the scene to begin with!

well good for you for singing but not to the kids. i got my voice from my parents which means i am also forever doomed to silence around others.

no set yet, but it's becoming more real every day. gotta wait for a flash unit to come back from middle america where it's being repaired and then for the timing to work out - everyone available and ready and weather and time off of work, etc. it might happen this decade. thanks for sounding excited
