Well 4 months into my deployment and I am finally able to get on here to update up date you all. Things over here have been, to put it bluntly, fucked up. We keep moving around to different bases or getting told new "standards" for how to build our Mortar pits so we are working on numbers 5, 6, 7 and 8 right now. We have as many guns as we do people to run them and all of them are 3-5 man crews. I have been going on patrol a lot more then in my last to deployments which I can't lie is kinda fun but sucks ass at the same time. The area down here has a lot of grape fields and climbing over the walls in them is a bitch with as much weight as we can carry. On top of that the IED threat is pretty high down here and well enough said about that. On to other things, I have a girlfriend now we started dating right before I left and things are going awesome with that so far, I am really happy. I am going to be going on R&R the end of sept and she is going to fly out to MI to visit and meet my family while I am home, and as crazy as it sounds (even to me lol) I might even ask her to marry me while she is there. Honestly right now other then dealing with the stupidity of the people above me here life is finally just about perfect which is a great feeling.
