Bought a Ranger 2WD brand new in 1994. Owned it until 2004 when I very reluctantly sold it to my best friend for next to nothing because I'm a nice guy like that. Best vehicle I ever owned. I'd buy another one if I actually had the need.

Only real regret was that I didn't opt for the limited slip differential at the time.

A few hundred pounds of sand near the tailgate made it almost acceptable in the winter... but it'd be a lie to suggest that any two-wheel-drive pickup truck is very safe in the snow.

An amazing story......boggles my brain every time I re-read it! Clearly, the universe had need for you down here instead of topside. It's like you were surrounded by this amazing magic bubble of protection and safety.
