"Cinderella lied to us. There should be a Betty Ford Center where they de-program you by putting you in an electric chair, play 'Some Day My Prince Will Come," and hit you and go '...Nobody's coming ...Nobody's coming ...Nobody's coming.'"
-Judy Carter
I'm not even really sure what to write. I enjoyed that quote, but mostly because it made me giggle, not because I feel it has much bearing on my life. I took it from the book I just finished reading, "Kiss My Tiara," by Susan Jane Gilman. It was the perfect read for this week. It was refreshing. Despite the fact that the book finishes off with a chapter called, "So Who Ever Said We Were Supposed To Be Happy?" (so the author may be funny, but she's apparently also realistic...) Gilman leaves us with a quote from her grandma:
"The world will be more heartbreaking than you know, and more beautiful than you'll ever imagine."
amen, Grandma.
