I am the sweatiest ninja.....
Okay, okay, I apologize. I haven't kept up my journal much this past week. Sloth and Gluttony reared their ugly heads making any sort of written inspiration nearly impossible. They set up residence in my house and held me captive, forcing me to do their bidding. I was, however able to distract them (with an Xbox and a plate of mallow-mars, respectively) long enough to sneak out of the house to look for reinforcements. Industry and Narcissism swept in, kicked their asses outta my place, and now everything's back to normal.
Speaking of "kicking" things, I played a rousing game of kickball this weekend with gadget, twotoner, and quietlythere. It rocked the cheetah's ass. I hadn't played kickball in, Christ, maybe 10 years (more ?
) but, you know what they say - it all comes back to you. As captain of the Ninjas, we defeated our arch-enemies the Pirates, saved the world, and rescued the girl. All-in-all I'd say it was a successful evening.
Gadget is awsome. Period. Aside from the requisite descriptors (cool,funny,hip) she's a kind person. Most people can be funny, and cool and hip...whatever...but what makes her stand out in my eyes is that she noticed I felt really out of place while everyone was arriving (I was probably the oldest person there by many, many years) and took a little extra time and effort to make me feel welcome. THAT is a very rare trait and speaks volume about a person, I feel. You rawk, Gadget. Thanks.
Quietlythere inspects bridges before they're built. How cool is that? But don't worry, the bridges are all in Maryland.
Did you guys know that metal is a crystal? I didn't. So, yeah, I learned a little something by talking to him in between fielding fly balls and tagging runners out at second. How's the back, by the way?
I didn't get a chance to talk to twotoner, much. Sorry big guy.

So, in conclusion, kickball is awsome, the kids are alright, metal is a crystal, the seven deadly sins aren't so bad if you know their weaknesses, and ninjas rule - pirates drool.
