Five years ago I finally learned how to knit in the round. Then three years ago, after my mother passed, I needed a challenge. I decided to treat myself to a luxurious skein of fine yarn. (Historically I would go for thicker yarns. They were easier to work with and knit up faster.) The skein I picked up was called 'Whiskey Barrel'. My constitution was...

@metalhornshigh  They played a few songs at the end with lights and music. That was enough for me. There was a point where I knew I should stop because I'm not really well enough to skate... but then I saw the hat light up and I just wanted to go! so I did. At which point they came over the speaker and said this was the last song... So I took it balls to the wall !!! I almost made myself physically ill, but it was worth it.

It’s happy accidents like that, which make life less painful. There was a good outcome, plus you can knit more glow in the dark winter wear. Like a cool scarf and gloves

I feel you. General practitioners can acquire a wealth of contextual experience with potential diagnosis but it doesn't matter if they can't determine the right specialist to send you to.

I missed the chance to see him at 2017 XPoNential Fest near Philly. I left early, and kicking myself ever since.

@robertbluesman Tell me about it. I've been regretting having to miss a show of theirs in 2005. R5 productions, First Unitarian Church - IN THE FLIPPING CHAPEL. I already had plans to go to Toronto for my first strike branding when I found out about it. I have never wished to be in two places at once so badly in my life. I've since seen them a number of times. I even got to catch when it was just Jonsi during the tour for Go, but man, the fucking CHAPEL! That's so intimate and beautiful. I had the privilege to see someone else play there, Erik Petersen, otherwise known as Mischief Brew. I'd met and stomped around with his crew back in the early 00's. I didn't catch this chapel show until probably 8 years later. I'd seen him play basements, smaller spaces than this chapel - but there is just something about the energy of that space. It was an truly an amazing show. The memory of which is only made brighter by his untimely passing.

@aflalimo I have a really sweet pair of doc martens I got a few years back. They're black on the outside, but with satin laces and a floral print inside... We've been separated by two years and 2000 miles, but I hope to reunite with them again someday. https://binged.it/2JCEYUs

@gadget The boots shown in the link are sexy AF. Wear them and nothing else. Just a casual suggestion. 😉 Oh, please. Where are my manners? 😊
