The sun is shining so brightly at Bob's today that I am a squinty silly barista.
Here I was all prepared for the cold that Minnesota is famous for....long johns made of technical fabrics, layers upon layers of scarves, hats, boots, mittens.....snowshoes, gaiters...all wrapped in a down jacket for good measure. A little over prepared? Maybe.
Granted, I am not a native Minnesotan.
I don't go outside without a hat and gloves if it is 20 degrees outside.
My blood isn't that sturdy.
Not yet.
But here I am with the air conditioning on at Bob's.
in a tank top...roasting to death.
Wishing for cold snowy weather will no doubt cause a polar shift, sending 40 below zero temperatures our way in May.
So instead...I will enjoy the sunshine while it's here.
Close my eyes and pretend it's a sunny June day.
An interesting crowd....a few regulars...some newbies....a lot of reading and chatting going on. Katherine knits and Bruce has a book instead of a drawing on the table. The Clash is on the radio and I am reminded again of why I love my job. I have a house full of contented customers.

Sounds like all of us Minnesotans could stand to visit Bob's. We have snow now and it is kind of starting to feel like winter. The long John's will come in handy.
