Hey everyone!
So I'm sure most of you are aware that I have been trying to shoot a set for the past two weeks roughly. It's a semi-selfshot, with the help of my husband, eating some Crave Japan snacks!
The first time I shot it , I did shoot it on my cell phone- but I shot a cell phone set quite some time ago that did get approved by SG, so I figured it would be fine. However, it got rejected- which honestly ok fair enough because the quality wasn't fantastic (6 MB photos MAX lol) so ok... I was a bit upset, but understood and decided to ask my hubby for help with reshooting on my camera- its a canon, basic but its pretty good- it takes raw images of like 20-30 MB , CR2 file. Some of the shots were a little blurry but not super bad or anything and I thought the editing was pretty good too. Well... sadly it also got rejected a couple days ago. SG emailed me and told me to look through some SOTDs to get some inspiration- they also told me that the colors were muted, as well as the photos being inconsistent (like with blurriness I guess)... The wouldn't clarify anymore really, and only gave me a couple tips as well as links for self shooting... which I've looked at a ton.
Well I looked through lots of SOTDs and I hope the set I shot this morning did what they wanted .. I'm super anxious and I just hope this set gets accepted bc sadly the other attempts will never be seen ... :( I'm really really really hoping for this one yall!
I feel as though the shots are clear, the focus is good, there are lots of creative shots, and I made sure the images were nice and vivid but not super shocking to the eyes.
My hubby took the photos but I edited them, I guess I could have said self shot but I just submitted them under "non-team" ...
I'll attach a shot from today.
I also turned off my bedroom light for all these photos to avoid any yellowing of the images, I solely used natural light.
I want to also attach an image from the previous attempt so you can compare coloring :
