Ack what an awful week. Nothing went right. Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday my parents treated Levi and I like slaves. We had to clean the whole house and backyard set up the sound system, bring in and set up all the food pull out and clean and fill the coolers go get the 30 chairs and 4 huge tables load them up unload them...

David is coming to visit!!! I'm so happy I can't wait to see him. David moved to Arizona last month and we had some unfinished buisness. Germination takes place overnight. If you put the seed between two wet napkins and place them someplace warm they will germinate. Then place the liitle seedling on top of wet some soil in a warm sunny area.
Or, if you plan on growing with soil, put them in small pot, dixie cups or small peat pots will do. Get the soil nice and wet and put the pot in a plastic ziploc bag. Then put the siploc bag in a window or somewhere that gets lots of sun. This is creating a mini greenhouse. Oh,don't forget to poke a couple holes in the bag so they can get som air. Like 10 or so pinholes. Don't leave the seedlings in the plastic bag too long, they may get too hot.
Hydroponics is quite complicated. Although you can make some supernatural crops because evertyhting is so controlled and artificial. I still think organic soil is the best way to grow everything. Or soil with hydroponic nutrients. it is way cheaper than putting together a hydroponic set up. Not to mention the maintenance of the system. Seriously, your looking at about $1000, start up cost. the 400 watt sodium lamp is $400 alone, then you need smaller lights for the side.
I had an ex into the hydro thing big time. I never thought it was worth all the trouble he went through. Although...
