Toes
I was standing there with my toes in the mud… I had hiked 30 miles the day before and I was done… I had a twelve pack of beer and half a fifth of whiskey… I knew I would not take one single fucking step today… I hurt all over… I shivered and started on the whiskey chasing it with piss warm beer… It had rained all day yesterday and as I said I stood in the mud watching it dry in the overpowering sunlight today. Three beers and more whiskey my feet were being dried in the filthy mud… Somewhat like sex and pulling out before you came… The mud crusted around my toes and I giggled… I could have never stood in one place longer than 5 minutes before the trail… Now 6 beers later I am laughing as the mud dries on my broken feet… You will never understand unless you have been there… 9 beers later I decide to jerk off… My mother nature knows the passion and it is only for her… Twelve beers later I collapse and crawl into my tent…. That was a good day and I still got whiskey to drink…
