No luck with the wallet yet. Not sure why it hasn't turned up yet. I blame it on the lack of nice people, and the overabundance of stupid people. Since I was the one that lost the wallet due to a widened hole in my pockets... well... guess where I fall under?
I cancelled my credit card and i'm replacing my ATM card today. My roommate lets me use his transit pass to get to work. But as for the rest of ID... can't get that for a couple of weeks because it costs money.
I did manage to vote without my ID though. An old student ID, my lease agreement, and some mail and I was part of the political process.
BTW, I hate the political process.
I was discussing our current government with the other SG'ers. I'm appearantly part of a minority, whom thinks that the Conservatives are not Nazi's. Strange, I know i'm a wheat picking redneck from Saskatchewan, but I didn't think they were that bad. I thought they were better than the liberals.
But then I came to think that I agree with half the Conservatives policies, and half the Liberal ones. So, I had no real allegiance to either, nor any reason to hate one or the other.
But then I realized why I hate the Liberals. FilmME thinks I focus too much on Adscam and all the money that went missing. Of course I do! I want my tax dollars spent responsibly. Besides, just like the persons whom have my wallet and did not return it, the Liberals have to be held accountable. But like the wallet, since now they have a minority government, I feel like they were not caught in their crimes and therefore got away with it.
What good is social progress when there is no accountability?
On the bright side, the Liberals have to actually work for a change (notice how they do jack sh*t until we are close to election time?). If they screw up... we get another election! That'll set them straight!
I voted Green anyways. I thought... what the hell,iI'm going to throw my vote away. There is no party for me (the Rhinocerus Party is long gone).
BTW, anyone hear how close we were to having a Marxist/Leninist MP? What a hoot!
