Title: Hidden
I'm not feeling too good today. Nor yesterday. Fact is, I slept through half the day, missed our usual weekly game of D&D.
I might be getting sick of it.
However, I did wake up, and I was bored out of my mind. I thought I would visit my roommate (Raven) at The Sentry Box. I thought it would kill some time, and give me an excuse to get some fresh air. So I did.
They were fresh out of Slaneesh Aspiring Champions, a figure I needed for my Warhammer 40k Lost and Damned army. But that's ok..
What I really got a kick out of is that I saw some SG members on my way there. (At this point, i'm not going to mention nicks to protect the innocent) I saw this girl walk to the Sentry Box. She asked me for directions, and said she was going there to meet her boyfriend. She definately looked punk, and the SG sticker she had in her hand was a dead giveaway that she was either a member or she knew a member.
I helped her out. She seemed friendly enough. But I wonder if any of the other SG'ers (including the girl) identified me? I wanted to say something, but online/offline interactions are a sticky business. Like in Star Trek, first contact should be carefully planned.
But now the secret's out. I've been among you all along! It was a little amusing for me, but I also wanted to say hi. I wish I wasn't so nervous about it!
After visiting Raven, I went back home. But my day didn't stop there. Since I was meaning to do so for a long time, I went down to Wal-Mart and picked up a desk for thirty bucks. Though my principled demand I do not shop at this department store, my wallet said 'suck up your pride and buy it, dickslap.' So I bought it, some junk food, and a picture frame.
After that, dragged the box home (being without a vehicle and all). I haven't assembled it yet, but that sort of thing is so easy a lobotomized chimp could do it. I did however got around to framing my bachelor's degree.
I felt like I was finally putting things back together, where they belong. My room is starting to slowly take shape into something more organized. Even my degree is framed. Maybe it's a sign that i'm putting it all back in place?
Time will tell. But it was a good day.
