Do you remember the Berrykins episode of Strawberry Shortcake?... When all the girls went about the land picking the most delightful looking of their namesake fruits and brought them to the center of their festival and ended up having plucked little fruit babies who were actually originally the companions of an elegant sorceress?... I don't know why, perhaps it was my borrowed snuggle buddy, Lime Chiffon, who reminded me... but that particular episode was playing out in my head most of the day... each girl was granted the task of looking after their fruit baby counter parts and given longer hair... to commemorate their growing up... coming of age I suppose?... it just makes me smile to remember it... I wondered if I was the only one... my father taped those shows for me all the damn time... I wish I still had that one... he took all those tapes and stowed them away in the hay loft I think... and I've not been able to get up there now that the stairs are gone... we used to play with the kittens up there, too... it was a nice place for my cats of the time to give birth... safe and high up... I've been thinking alot about older days... I've been wishing I could go back and fix things I messed up on... but I can only be grateful for what I have at the moment... whats still here... even if I have to let go of my Cuquita... I think maybe thats what she wants... maybe...
