Congrats to my foreign student who 1) has sufficiently mastered the English language to tell a dick joke, and 2) managed to use that joke as a witty come on. You won my respect, sir, and very nearly my heart.

A dick joke? You must be so proud, lol.

We're up to four inappropriate sexual opportunities. Two will make things weird at one job. One will make things weird at another job. One will make things weird at the dojang. I think I'll resist temptation to avoid the drama.

I think you have more will power than I would have at this stage of my life.

Sounds like you have your priorities in order.
creamcuffs:
I would've been happy with at least one inappropriate sexual opportunity this weekend

I'm bored. I have two inappropriate sexual opportunities, and I may take them both.

Inappropriate and sexual opportunities in the same sentence? Isn't that an oxymoron?

Life is short. Enjoy it to the fullest.

at the same time?

A colleague of an ex mentioned knowing that I "used to be good friends with him." Makes me miss him. But if my best relationship was with someone who was married and left the country, that's sad.

At least there was something to be missed, love

Snickerdoodles are awesome. There is this cookie place called "Cookies by design" which is about a half hour away from me. And they make them BIG. They are so chewy and have all the right spices. It's always worth the trip.

I had a game night last night with some old friends. We played Balderdash, which, if you've never played, you should know is the best word game ever. Here are some descriptions of movies I came up with. I hope you'll be amused. These are real movie titles; the plots, however, are my invention.

Reuben and Ed- Uptight Reuben begins his first semester at...

You have a vivid, and weird, imagination, lol.

I know that word. From a movie. A guy who looked like a cricket used it then a bee with glasses described him as unpleasant.

Yes, I'm going to be vague.

I was talking to a couple of friends tonight about something that's been on my mind, bothering me for a while. It's something I often talk about with these friends, because they're close friends and they know the situation well. One of my friends said, "Oh, here she goes again," when I brought up the subject.

Ouch. She can...

That was callous and dismissive of her. Not the kind of reaction you need or expect from someone close to you.

I understand where you're coming from. I know there are exceptions, but I believe that people who choose to get into educaion aren't motivated first and foremost by money. Both of my daughters are teachers and were motivated by things other than money to pursue their chosen careers.

Thanks for the kind words.

Lately,I've been thinking of possibly taking up Jujitsu in addition to Taekwondo and Hapkido. It's a completely different art and would fill in the kind of fighting I don't get in the other arts. But time and money are issues.

I'm trying to add to my scary factor in 2011, you see..

I understand about the reaction to being threatened. There something called "interrogation play" that we do that's also controlled, but has an aura of danger, although it's only roleplay.

creamcuffs:
I don't have to add anything to my scary factor. I'm scary enough.

I learned a lot about myself, other people, and the world in 2010. I hope 2011 will teach me just as much, and if some of the lessons come more easily, that will be good too.

Whatever you learned about me in 2010, I can only hope it was good (LOL).

Have an amazing new year!!

I'm enjoying my new Kindle. You should be jealous. As one of many New Yorkers who takes public transportation, walks a lot, and brings a book everywhere, I'd say an e-reader is pretty darn convenient.
