I 've had an epiphany. I realized how unlike me and my ex-girlfriend actually are. There was no way in hell it was going to work. But I have a lot of respect for her and I did love her. She really believes I'm a bad person, and that sucks, but not everything can end well.
And in our quest to be happy and find the right person, sometimes we get ourselves into crazy situations. I would not have anticipated that I'd ever be involved in a relationship like my current one. One that, in the abstract, looks so disastrous. Lesbian hooks up with male coworker/roommate going through a divorce. But I think that, for once in my life, I'm not screwing things up. I'm finally getting it right and the rest of the world would reasonably assume that I'm getting it wrong.
Who made the stupid rules?
