fwiw, i went through a similar thing when i lived in LA. you get over it, but you probably won't forget it anytime soon. it stinks. it's a brutal thing to have stuck in your brain. but over time it will become like the other scars we all carry around. they don't go away, but they don't plague us every day, either. and, like scars, they become part of who we are. in the meantime, take care of yourself and remember that we're thinking about you.

Nothing wrong with being pale, darling. You will appreciate the lack of wrinkles, age-spots, and leathery-ness later in life.

you should hold off on getting your other nipple pierced until your first one is completely healed. that's normally 6 to 8 weeks, but then the inside needs to completely heal, too. . . unless of course you heal REALLY fast. but it would really suck if something bad happened because it's really easy for nipples to reject foreign objects.
