I'm sitting here checking the polls my heart is sinking. Regardless of whatever else tomorrow brings, I now live in a country that is likely to elect a man who has routinely said horrible things about Mexicans. How do I explain that to my son of Mexican descent? How do I keep my wife and son safe in a nation that so openly shows Mexicans hatred? What happens if we have a daughter? Not only will she be of Mexican descent, but she will live in a world where the president is a man who openly admitted to sexually assaulting women.
