Today, I got the news that the Tartan made in memory of my father has been accepted and certified by the Scottish Register of Tartans.

I cannot begin to explain how important this is to me. Not only does his memory live on in this beautiful tartan, a tartan that I will be wearing as a kilt in my wedding later this year. But there is a record of it in an archive. Maybe that's just the historian in me, but it is something that makes me happy. This is a new chapter in my life.
