Tired of being blond (well more tired of staring at my roots angrily & having them not disappear), I dyed my hair today. A medium reddish brown. Except that on my hair that could mean anywhere from strawberry blond to deep auburn depending on the way the Fates are blowing (my over-processed hair does its best to resist change nowadays). What I ended up with is a darkish mahogony type colour which, if it were slightly lighter would look closer to the colour of a darker blush wine... or something.

In any case, today has been much better than it was expected to be. Not only did I awake to find something pretty sitting in my email (which you all may get to see if the Fates are kind) but I also recieved fabulous news no less than three times today! And I am meeting a friend I have not seen in months for drinks tomorrow which should be a good time...

Forgive the ramblingness of this entry, I am a wee bit stoned & drunk. The former a constant, the latter a recent development having something to do with my enjoyment of my bartending class & my need to "study"... yes, that's the story, I am studying the drinks. By drinking

I really do believe in fate. Not in the something-out-there-that-decides-our-destiny type way, more the something-out-there-that-randomly-fucks-with-us type way. If the powers that be are reasonably pleased & calm, things may go your way... but good freaking luck if they're bored or pissed off; then you're gonna need to learn how to bounce. I roll with the punches, I don't not get mad, I just accept the unalterable. It tends to keep the amount of scar tissue down.
