i thought i was the only one who didnt 'get' the whole car thing.

They are really bad choices. She is almost 17, and has already had an abortion. This is part of why it is so hard for her to separate herself from this boyfriend. He's 18 and drinks too much. And she wants to move in with him and they will go on welfare. And in the town she lives in, once people do that, they rarely get out of it. Our two older sisters both had kids still in their teens. I just want her to have choices, you know? I'm scared she'll fall into a life she won't be able to get out of. And she doesn't have any real parental support. But I'm going to be living much closer to her soon. I hope I can do something for her.
