By popular demand, I'm updating my journal.

Whee!

My dad says to me on the phone the other day, "y'know, for someone who isn't working all that much, you sure seem busy." Too true.

Still working daily at the radio station but not full-time hours. The ownership change at the radio station(s) apparently becomes effective at the beginning of June. For the past few weeks...

Just tell them I want to hear you!! GEEZ! You think they would understand. Anyway, it's raining here like crazy this weekend. Any good suggestions for rainy day music?

I could never do your job. I would end up mumbling and would be fired immediately! tongue

Another weekend, another series of Fisher Cats games, and I'm still poor! Friday was fun actually, doing onfield public address. We had a good crowd although the crowd was rather sparse once we got into extra innings. I had to do a "player of the game" interview with a pitcher who spoke little to no English. Nice guy.

Tomorrow night I get to play the...

I must be going through an identity crisis. Hence the name change. WithoutTheFezOn was getting old and boring.

I'm growing out my hair and beard and I don't care who hates it. Translated, that generally means in three weeks I'll shave and chop off all my hair out of boredom.

What do you think, as a sort of ultra-shallow question of the hour? And why...

There was a band a while back called Screaming Blue Messiahs and on their album Bikini Red they had a song called "Jesus Chrysler Drives a Dodge and when I saw your name I was surprised. Either way it's clever and you're right the names fit together quit nicely.
nordicgoddess:
I just think you should cut off all of your hair and change your user name to "Uncle Fester." smile

Ah, Saturday mornings with Roxy Music and coffee, we hardly knew ye.

So I've been sort of out of the loop on the site but trying to pop in a bit more often. I'll have time over the next two weeks since for the time being my hours at the radio station have been cut down a bit. A little surprising and a bit off-putting,...

I have been away, yes indeed. Just been too busy perhaps, trying to figure out how I'm going to keep the cash flowing until September when I'm back into my ski reporting audio booth. I'm doing plenty of radio work now but with new ownership coming in who knows what will become of me. For those of you requesting recountings of my baseball PA work,...

Still alive. Threw my new program director the monetary figure it would take to bring me back full-time as music director-Imus local producer-morning news dood. We'll see if they bite.

Thursday I officially begin my side-gig as a minor-league sports public address announcer. Better look over the roster for pronunciations, then?

All this going on and I find out after a Saturday night of good...

Win number one for the Bosox moments ago. Things like that make WithoutTheFezOn happy. So does speaking in the third person, apparently.

Anyone ever notice Curt Schilling looks like Dave Coulier, sans mullet? I honestly don't care if he looks like Mike Wallace's ass, if he can get the win, I'm all for it.

The program director of our sister oldies station asked me if...

So I had the camera crew in at 3am, taping me "waking up" several times. Then they followed me to work at interviewed two co-workers and I while catching shots of us "in action."

It won't air til next season. And funny enough, this is my last week of the season doing ski reports, so as of next Monday I'm off the company gravy trail...

Don't resist summer. Spring ahead! DO IT! I saw my first guy not wearing a shirt yesterday and it was a good thing. I've welcomed the beginning of spring and I noticed you've done the same. You removed the licking the ski picture! Way to change with the seasons! Kudos! smile

So while I'm the type that can be a few minutes late to work, I've always showed up at least. I'm a workaholic to a fault. But this morning both of my alarms completely failed me and because this Sunday only one other broadcaster worked (out of his home) nobody was around to call and wake me up. Even the few non-broadcast staffers on hand...
