brutality at the green door:
the green door is my favorite place to go in oklahoma. it is a little grimy punk club where really cool bands (and some not really cool bands) come to play. I went to see rasputina there on sat. night. The show was great and i guess i was sooo enveloped in the music that i didn't see my friend's being clobbered by the bouncers. This is Amara's story:
We were down on the floor watching Rasputina play when this really drunk guy kept pushing through people. We gave him a dirty look and he put his cigarette out on my friend's forehead. Despite the wrongful action on his part my friend declined a fight with him. Come to find out..he is Reggie's (the owner's) best friend....so, Reggie and the bouncers grab my friend and throw him outside. They take him to his car and there they commence throwing him brutally against the car and sticking their fingers in his eyes saying they would rip his eyes out. He jumps in the car and floors it. When i try to go back in to get the rest of my party and tell them what is going on, they grab me and throw me aggainst the wall...hard..and the bouncer says to me.."I don't care if you're a fucking girl..I'll kick your ass anyway!" When the cops showed up..we tried to explain what happened. The bouncers denied hurting anyone and the cops wouldn't listen to anything we said...saying "you punk kids are always trying to caouse some kind of shit." I responded by saying.."We aren't punk..we are dark industrial new wave." hehe. Anyway, this is complete bullshit! Furthermore..I am boycotting the Green Door and petition everyone to do so with me.

This shocks me! I have heard alot of complaints about the poeple at the Green Door. I have met Reggie personally and to my knowledge he is a really nice guy..but..after I heard this, from a friend whom I have known for quite some time..I am beginning to think otherwise. I really don't know what to do because the Green Door is the only place in OK that puts on good shows, but I feel like they should be severely reprimanded for treating people that way. That is totally uncalled for and just fucking ridiculous!

this is because they ran me down with a car after
getting tossed out. funny how nobody seemed to remember that part. i joined in after everybody got thrown out, which was not done by me or my staff but by the people they were starting shit with. i only had 1 security guy that night and neither him or i hit anyone. and for all that drama i got to take a ride on top of a hood down western ave.
