I "seen" REM last nite at MSG in NYC (lots of acronyms flying, no?).
They were good, they played lots of the new album which was A-OK since the new album is good (last time I aw them was 2004 and the album they insisted on promoting was so crappy they have since more or less disowned the fucking thing). They played lots of older...

I just watched the Americanized remake of "Funny Games". While I have grown to detest "Hostel/Saw" movies where people are tied to chairs while calm serial killers torture them, I found myself thinking this was a good movie. I am conflicted by the fact I liked it. Was I getting off on the violence and cruelty on a base level, or was I appreciating the...

Two days until I see REM in NYC. I am getting very excited, even though this will be the fifth time I have seen them. One more day of work and then a nice four day weekend. And there will be much rejoicing.
I saw the Hulk v2 today. It was pretty good, though the CGI Hulk still looked a little computery to me. It entertained me and Edward Norton brought a lot to the table. Good show!
With 57 minutes left, I am thankful that this Friday The 13th has been uneventful.
Tomorrow morning I will see The Hulk.
I need a girlfriend.

I just started re-re-reading the book "aboot" Motlry Crue entitled "The Dirt". Man do I loves this book! It may be the best book ever, certainly the best "rock" book. It has lots of insight into stuff. Man, I wish I lived on the Strip in 1983, out of my mind and up to my gills on coke playing rock and roll. I am a...

I had the best walk today on "my" boardwalk Spring Lake. The weather was, literally, perfect. Warm, not hot or cold. A slight breeze, but not windy. The sun was slowly starting to go down, so the atmosphere was very calming and peaceful. The ocean waves crashed lightly and the sea air smell was light and wafting, not redolent of fish. I think a good...

Happy Memorial Day. I know I've wasted it by doing nothing at all. I wish I had the forethought or wherewithal to actually go to one of the ceremonies that honor those lost, but I don't. I am lame.
I have also been battling a cold for the last several days. I woke up twice last night in clothes that were completely drenched through with...

Politicians should avoid Preachers (sorta kinda like a separation betwixt church and state, but that's CRAZY).
Obama got all linked in to some kook, and now McCain has been praying with one-a-dem "anti-semites".
Why can we only elect white southern dudes who end all speeches with "God Bless"?
I am a white guy and even I don't get it...

HOW TO MAKE STUPID PEOPLE APPEAR EVEN STUPIDER
When somebody says (or "sez" if you wanna be all the time cool) something stupid, sure, you can argue with them, but really what does that do and were does that get you? Nowhere, and fast.
The next time someone tells you something dumb, like "The war in Iraq is making great strides" or "I really enjoy...
