So my Wikipedia adventure has begun! I made mega updates to Mr. Lindsey Buckingham's page (yes he is a dude) and you can see what all changes I made here!
I also made a brand new page for Stevie Nicks' debut solo album Bella Donna! I'd like to make a page for each of her solo albums.
So I got BOTH copies of Anniemal today, the U.S. release from amazon.com and the int'l release from recordstore.co.uk If I am REALLY lucky I can get Annie herself to sign my liner notes but right now I find that possibility highly dubious. Honestly I'm shakin' in my boots at the possibility that I might find myself face-to-face with Annie! So my fear makes me not want it to happen
Anyway my friend and I are ironing out the details and I am just super excited. Whoa.
So what the hell am I going to wear?? I have a couple Asian style dresses that might do nicely but I'd have to bring a bag and change into it up in NYC somewhere. Not sure how well one of those dresses would travel. Oh and I'm not wearing makeup for this thing. I love you Annie, but I'm not going to experiment with my face and risk looking like an idiot in front of you. I don't want to, like, SCARE you, ya know.
I bought Ani Difranco's album To The Teeth a few weeks ago and didn't listen to it until just yesterday. I hated it! I had to go back and listen to Up Up Up etc. to see if it was her music I was sick of or if it was just the album. It was just that album. The music is really discordant for one thing, and I thought the lyrics were uncharacteristically lame. In fact in my view she lost a little credibility because some of the songs sounded very like older songs of hers. But I read the AMG review of it and it pointed out that on the album Ani voices her weariness making music. I mean, she's released a solo album basically every year since 1990. I can understand being tired, and I can understand a sub-par album. It made me sad though. I kind of want to get rid of the disc. But I should still buy her old old stuff. The oldest album of hers I have is Not A Pretty Girl (I think). Of the albums of hers I have, my faves are Up x 6 and Out of Range.
I chatted for a LONG time with NoControl tonight! He is a very cool dude and has great taste in music. And it's like we were separated at birth or something, we have similar tastes in almost everything
It sounds like we will be exchanging mix CDs in the future
Okay, I've been having a problem with the site. Correction: HAD a problem. It wouldn't accept my password anywhere. Luckily someone asked about it on the boards and it's been fixed. Since you have to give your password to submit a help request I bet I wouldn't have even been able to do that. Nor logged back in if I logged out
Wow. My friend and I are discussing where to eat dinner in NYC and what hotel to stay in after the show. It's all coming together
Oh and I forgot to ask! What's the first mp3 you ever had? Or first you remember? My first ever was Fleetwood Mac - Hold Me and I remember being SO AMAZED that a computer file could be CD quality
I'm thinking of starting a thread about this on the boards. I wonder if anyone else remembers theirs.
Also! The sticker I put up at Kings Dominion is up in the gallery now! And KaraLynn yours is up too! AND they put up some other sticker photos I submitted a while back but they didn't put up at the time! You can see mine in my pics folder in the "SG Army Uploads" folder, but unless you're using my Firefox sticker gallery fix extension you won't be able to see the pics in the gallery, or any others for that matter. So install greasemonkey for Firefox and install my script so you can see our stickers

A couple folks stuck up for her, though, like Keith (although I wish he hadn't summoned the name "Timberlake" while doing so).
I so don't blame you- I see Threads like "Phish sucks" and I don't open them. It's just so silly.
I remind myself not to go into threads and say even something as innocent as "I think they're mediocre" if people are trying to have a positive, fans thread about a band. What would be the point? It's -again- silly.
