This morning was a bit scary. I woke up and felt/heard strange rumblings in my chest when I moved around. I was afraid I had fluid in my lungs and was getting pneumonia and would have to go to the hospital. I called Dr. Mom and she assured me it was just congestion. I think it may have actually been stomach-related (I'll spare you the details).

I often feel on the verge of a sneeze. It's really weird to me that having a cold actually makes you sneeze. It's just been so long since I've been sick that I'm surprised what these nasty little germs and viruses can do to a person.

I've been drinking sodas all day and trying to eat a lot, and I'm feeling not-so-bad right now, relatively speaking (although typing this is making my head hurt).

I feel really lonely. frown Mom is gone, MollyMolly is gone; all I have are two annoying cats who are either asleep or bothering me rather than being loving companions.

I have spent much of the day looking through every category of the groups on SG and joining the ones that look interesting. I'm not done yet, either; I'm about to look through the Music category. SG doesn't seem to show the number of groups I'm in, but let's just say I'm in a lot more than I was before. I'm going to trim that list down, probably, but for now I'll see what happens.

Gosh; writing this is taking a lot of energy. frown I'm trying to stay warm, wearing a sweatshirt and jeans and a blanket over my legs. I feel like an invalid! No, not really, but I'm definitely not as strong right now as I usually am. I should probably wear some socks, too.

Oh, hey, maybe some of you could do me a favor. Since I'm trying to reduce and eventually stop my medications, it's possible you might notice some changes in my behavior (hopefully good changes). If anything strikes you as seeming different with me, something odd, unusal, better, worse, etc., let me know. It would be a big help.

I played Twilight Princess a little more today. Some mild spoilers within if you haven't made it to Kakariko Village yet.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
When I stopped the last time, I had just freed Kakariko Village from the twilight, and the next goal was to get into the mines of Death Mountain and restore the friendship between the humans and Gorons. I started playing today expecting to waltz right into the mines, but no! A bunch of completely unexpected stuff happened. Most Zelda games I have played have been much more linear (or at least less complicated) than that. I had to wrangle my horse, learn sumo wrestling (!), and save one of the kids from a monster before I could get any further.

In the sumo wrestling part, we see Link bare-chested! shocked shocked Is it hot in here? blush I was quite surprised at that. blush

I love how cinematic this game is. I have gotten emotional during several of the cut scenes already, including one I saw today.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
I can't tell if Colin died or if he just lost consciousness (don't tell me!) Link didn't seem too worried, which makes me think Colin is still alive, and the shaman (Renado?) took him towards the spring, so maybe he'll be OK. I hope so. I like that kid (you're kind of supposed to like him, I guess).

Some people in the Nintendo group said they were disappointed with the graphics, and I was really surprised at that, because I think the graphics are amazing (especially how expressive Link and the other characters are). I think I may see what they mean, though, but it's not the graphics that are problematic, it's the motion. Link's running, swinging his sword, his horse galloping, and other things look a little weird. Maybe that's what they meant. I haven't noticed any problems with the wolf motion, though; that seems pretty well-done, to me.

To help with boredom and loneliness last night, I left comments in a few journals of people I don't really know (but wouldn't mind getting to know). Not everyone replied, but some have, and that makes me happy. Try it sometime; you might make some new friends.

I visited the limericks web site for the first time in a while. I had about 130 limericks in my activity list. blackeyed (Wait, actually I think it was closer to 200, maybe more. blackeyed ) Some of them were my own limericks that people commented on while I was away, but most of them were limericks of other people that I had commented on and helped workshop. They're a nice bunch of people, over there. The editor-in-chief saw me online and messaged me to ask if I'd help him test the new mass-mailing feature the site admin had implemented, so he could send all of the OEDILFers a holiday greeting. He contacted a few other editors who were online at the time, too. I thought that was cool.

I heard that the Twilight Princess soundtrack that Nintendo is offering along with subscriptions and renewals to Nintendo Power is really only a demo and doesn't have all of the game's songs on it. I had really wanted it badly before I read that. Does anyone have it and think I should still get it? Maybe I should ask in the Zelda group.

OK, folks. I'm going to go back to group-hunting and feeling sick.

The question.... I think it was about whether I was human or not. Something like that. "Are you from earth?" or something.

I'm sorry you are still sick. frown Here's a tip if you don't want to sneeze, lick the back of your top teeth. It sounds weird but I swear it works. I played Twilight Princess a little more. I'm getting ready to go into the forest temple. Feel better soon. smile
