I made this!
I had a dream recently (yet another video game-themed dream) where I was playing the Hyrule theme from the Legend of Zelda games on piano in a concert hall dressed as Link. I do want to learn how to play it on the piano (and I'd like to dress as Link, but not necessarily at the same time). I've never really taken lessons so it might be tough. My aunt has our old piano in her house, so I could go over there and play it. (I have a dorky Radio Shack keyboard that has like 66 keys or something, but it would sound so BIG on a real piano, don't you think?)
Oh man. My tummy has been upset since yesterday. For some reason, I didn't start feeling sleepy until about 5 this morning (usually I'm in bed by 11:30), and I had a lot of trouble sleeping because of my tummy and some scary zombie nightmares. Now I feel all tired, not to mention sick to my stomach.
I've been way hyper since last night, too. I thought maybe I had some caffeine and didn't realize it or something, but I'm hyper again this morning. What is the DEAL, man? Part of it is that I've been so happy since last night, so maybe it's just a bumpy transition from feeling really low and grouchy to feeling goofy and giddy.
Zombie nightmares, you ask? Well, it wasn't exactly zombies. It took place in a small town. Everything was fine until some time in the afternoon when a large portion of the population was poisoned, and started attacking the non-poisoned people. Throughout the dream, the ever-shrinking contingent of non-poisoned people were, of course, trying to escape. Things were looking really bad when there were only about five non-poisoned people left, and they were surrounded. Their only hope, for some reason, was in a small sandbox filled with a muddy substance that would somehow render them immune to the poison. They all piled in and writhed around in the mud, but the poisoned people surrounded them and started pulling on them. Eventually the poisoned people pulled some of their limbs off. They survived this, somehow, and decided that their only hope was to start pulling on each other. But when they did, they ended up pulling each other apart. They screamed, and I distinctly remember thinking, "man, forget this!", and woke up.
I finished the SQL assignment for my database class. We were given a World Cup soccer/football database (from this year) and we had to run various queries (i.e. asking questions about the data), create various tables (i.e. new places to store the data), etc. I was stuck on a particular query until I realized that I should really make a temporary table to help me out. I like talking about it, so read the spoiler if you're curious (or just like to hear me talk about things I find interesting). I was able to explain it to my therapist and have her understand it although she is not computer-inclined, so don't be scared; I try to make it clear with minimal technical talk.
The assignment is due today at 6PM, so I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to figure out this query in time. (This was problem 10 on the assignment, and there are a total of 12 problems, so I was almost done.) But I did it, and I emailed it to the TA a little while ago. I think I did a good job. *pats self on back*
