Note the backwards "ghetto stylee" cap. This is Link à la The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The highest denomination of this particular game's currency (rupees, for those of you are uneducated in all things Zelda) is the silver 200-rupee piece, hence the silver rupee in Link's tooth.
Oh and you know, I just realized something. At one point in the game you're given 500 rupees, but it shows up as an orange rupee, which is the color for 100 rupees, so I was confused. I realized just now that you are getting five orange rupees, not one 500 piece.

In the very first Zelda, the 1-rupee piece flashed orange and blue, and the 5-rupee piece was solid blue. I don't know about Zelda II; believe it or not, I've never played it!

Man, maybe I should give lectures on this stupid game.

I speculate that Twilight Princess' rupees will be so realistic, they'll make Link cry every time he picks one up. Cry with joy.
