Note the backwards "ghetto stylee" cap. This is Link à la The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The highest denomination of this particular game's currency (rupees, for those of you are uneducated in all things Zelda) is the silver 200-rupee piece, hence the silver rupee in Link's tooth.

Oh and you know, I just realized something. At one point in the game you're given 500 rupees, but it shows up as an orange rupee, which is the color for 100 rupees, so I was confused. I realized just now that you are getting five orange rupees, not one 500 piece. blush

In the very first Zelda, the 1-rupee piece flashed orange and blue, and the 5-rupee piece was solid blue. I don't know about Zelda II; believe it or not, I've never played it! eeek Molly tells me that it is very different from other Zeldas, though, so she is not surprised at this. (Wikipedia tells me there is no currency system in Zelda II.) From the SNES Zelda on, one rupee is green, five is blue, and twenty is red. The one, five, and twenty are the three denominations that have remained the same color throughout the series. Other denominations in Wind Waker include the yellow 10 piece, purple 50 piece, and orange 100 piece. The 200 piece in this game is silver, but in The Ocarina of Time, it was gold.

Man, maybe I should give lectures on this stupid game. tongue (It's not stupid! Sorry Link and Zelda! I didn't mean it, honestly! frown )

I speculate that Twilight Princess' rupees will be so realistic, they'll make Link cry every time he picks one up. Cry with joy.
