Did you know Dusty Springfield was bisexual? Wow!
I'm spending a lot of money on iTunes.
I just want everything! Albums are often reasonably priced, and a song is only a dollar (or less if bought with an album, sometimes), but it adds up.
Wow, they have Madonna's Immaculate Collection for only 10 bucks!
See what I mean??
(And I just bought it.

SO I'm cutting caffeine out of my life once more, as soon as I go through this last 12-pack of Cherry Coke. I was unsure what beverage should replace the cherry-flavored cola (MollyMolly suggested ginger ale), but when I went to the grocery store yesterday morning to pick up more veggie sausage links and drop off my PERscription, I remembered that many root beers are caffeine free! I did a little price comparison of 12-packs of cans of root beer (they were only offering A&W and Mug in can form), but they were all the same price, so I just picked A&W.
I'll miss the Cherry Coke. Actually, when I first started drinking it again, my first reaction upon sipping it was "eugh, this tastes rather awful!" I think my fondness of it is more a psychological thing, because I associate it with meeting the SGVA folks at King's Dominion last year. I don't hate the taste, or anything, but it has sort of a metallic quality (even when drunk from plastic bottles), and the cola flavor is a bit overpowering, I think.
I'm not crazy about root beer, but I like it enough to be willing to replace the Cherry Coke with it. I'll have to see what Mug is like, after I finish the A&W. There are probably better brands out there, but I simply must drink from a can (I've said before that if they sold water in cans, I would buy it), and also I'm cheap, so I want to look for the cheapest stuff.
Hahaha. I started a "person above you" thread.
"The dream is beautiful," she said quietly. "Make it come true."

I think I remember that painting. The red-haired woman? I guess you saw the plaque; it said she was having an affair with the painter!... and I guess Freer knew about it, and knew them.
I did like that second room of Whistler and Dewing; I also loved that painting at the far end of the first room, with the 3 women in the almost totally green mist landscape.
I thought some of Sugimoto's pics were great. The Henry VIII dummies. The theater and ocean pics were stunning, too; the only downside to those was there were too many of each. It was like looking at 12 "Starry Nights" side by side. I think he should've pared down to his favorite 2 or 3.
I went back down stairs to the Black Box film room that we passed on the lowest floor. Those films were pretty odd, strangely captivating. There was one called "Migration" which had these tiny-scale animations of people, birds, and animals crossing everyday household surfaces many times larger than them. He'd have these repeat images of birds flying too that were obvious copies of each other yet they looked sorta natural too.
I made it to the National Gallery, but my legs were totally exhausted by then! I didn't make it to the other places... in fact, my National Gallery trip was pretty brief.
Yeah, I was glad to see you too! It's kinda nuts of me, with all the driving I have to do and the walking I did today, but tomorrow night I'm going to see Gadget's rollerderby bout near Philly. I just got to thinking how little chance I'd have to see her league ever again. It'll cost some money, but it's just money. I don't want that kinda thing to decide my life. On the other hand, I'll be tired as crrrap, but oh well.

I think I am going to have to budget like $10 a week just for songs.
It's so much easier than buying a whole album for ONE song...
Plus, my Ipod comes in soon, and oh man am I going to have fun!
