Humanity? Too broad a term.

A faith in decency, I can hope for. Decency is such a jingoistic word, maybe calling it mutual respect? Mind you, it's not going to happen with unequal parts.

The beginning of the exchange reminds me of how I really liked Piers Anthony's Golem in the Gears, where I first saw the explanation of "Nice, but Tough." Negative feeds negative, goods begets goods, and goods uber alles.

WTF is this shit? Life is good, I don't know how it happened.
