On April 2
two of us, mirror images
enter a bar

to chattering, loud
music, friends waiting at tables

as grins bear on our faces
wide and open and the whole
world watching

as their matched with the others
whites everywhere.

Turning 26, nothing special
just a number
but it'll be grand

another year passed, survived
close as limbs on two
separate bodies,
he and I.

And we'll drink, toast to awesome things
future without limits

and we'll smile.
Just like the stars.
