"It began innocuously, when a statistical anomaly pointed to a mysterious syndrome that attacked the immune systems of gay men in California. No one imagined 25 years ago that AIDS would become the deadliest epidemic in history.

Since June 5, 1981, HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, has killed more than 25 million people, infected 40 million others and left a legacy of unspeakable loss, hardship, fear and despair.

Its spread was hastened by ignorance, prejudice, denial..."

I'm sending my love upwards to all of the fallen beauties, junkies, faggots, and whores, all my unconventional angels who died fighting what marked them a modern leper of sorts.
I pray they didn't die in vain and one day the companies that profit from human loss will be exposed.
Here's hoping for a better future, Here's hoping for a cure.........

karma2:
Yes..the companies that suffer from loss. Like the pharmaceuticals who use the power of the U.S. government to prevent generic versions of AIDS drugs being sold in Africa.

All those, poor, unconventional angels. Can you hear them cry?

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Now there's the part of the Bible that ought to be hung in courthouses.
