True story.
When my friend was a lil baby, she had a dangerously high fever. Her doctor told her parents that she would definitely suffer brain damage if she survived the fever.
She lived. It took years to determine that she possesed full dexterity and slightly above average intelligence.
Rather than making the logical assumption that the fever caused no damage, the doctor hypothesized that she was born a superhuman, the likes of which we have never seen. If it hadn't been for the fever, she would have been able to kill people just by thinking about it.
She has decided to not have children.
