I got a phone call today from The Miscarriage Association - they said the coursework I submitted to them was brilliant and so, as from today I'm now a support worker and telephone contact for women in the UK who need support

Its hard to say no as well.
When we were last in the UK we had a Westie who constantly begged for chocolate. He somehow got up on the kitchen bench, knocked over a tin with some dark chocolate easter eggs in it and ate the lot.
It was a toxic dose too, lucky I got home just as he finished scoffing the choccies and got it all out of his system in time for him to be ok - well apart from a huge high that had him racing around like a cracked out pixie for 6 hours
I miss that dog
I wasn't allowed to bring him back here with me, he failed the temperament tests and had a heart problem so he couldn't get the vet cert

I'm such a sucker for dogs, they do have almost human personalities. I swear sometimes I expect some dogs to start talking. I grew up with a German shepherd who would try to talk. You'd ask her how her day was and she'd make grumbling noises like she was trying to talk, and she knew yes and no - if you asked her something and the answer was no she would stamp her front paws, if the answer was yes she'd do this nodding thing. It was sooo cute and useful too

when i stayed in LA i stayed in the USA hotel (usahostels.com) on shrader blvd which is between hollywood and sunset not too far away from gruaman's chinese theatre. LA is BIIIIG tho so to get to venice and santa monica beaches we had to take a couple of busess. It was safe tho, all you need to do in hostels is make sure that you take your own lock with you, and just don't take anything obviously flashy that you can't keep with you. Also if you're going with someone else you can sometimes book a private room so you don't have to share a dorm! If you're doing LA i'd recommed staying there for no longer than a few days and splitting it up with either san franciso or san diego too. when you goin? am so very jealous! i wanna go back!

I read this morning that officials believe that around half of the bushfires we get every year - which is around 20,000, are lit by arsonists. Its insane and I really hope they catch whoever did it - police are releasing sketches of their suspect later in the week.
