School orientation is tomorrow. I'm pretty excited, but not sure how much of it applies to me. It looks like a lot of "how to survive being away from your parents for the first time" and "how to adult for college purposes." Seeing as I'm old enough to have college-aged kids and am technically retired, I just don't know about this part. It's cool that they do it though. When I went to school the first time, I went to state schools. There was no orientation, no meet-and-greet, no nothing.
In other news, I painted this at one of those paint and drink wine things.
I see tons of errors, but I'm not an artist. It's just a learning experience for me. Speaking of learning experiences, I'm teaching myself to weave, using an inkle loom. It's only designed to weave bands, but they can be used for bookmarks, bracelets, belts, guitar straps, and a million other things. Here are the results of my first attempt.
Again, I see some mistakes, mainly along the edges. Overall, I'm happy with it though.
