I'm writing a job application at the moment, its tough. I have to write over 2500 words on competancies and supporting evidence. Showing where and when I gained the knowledge skills and experience. Each section is to be 200 words If the section is significantly over 200 words it will be discarded. Also I have to include an indepth cover letter but no cv...

wow, that all sounds really exciting! Bloody good luck biggrin

ribbonsundone:

Oh, honey - GOOD LUCK! I think you will be fabulous. I feel you on the frustration of filling out the application which is unreasonably constrained. Best best to you.

Health all around soon as well! I hope you are getting lots of fluids and rest.

Family day at the park yesterday... It was organised by one of those happy clappy evangelical churches, but it was free. The girls got free balloons and icecreams. It was pretty weird, there was one woman doing this weird belly dance thing to arabic music. One thing I saw that peturbed me slightly. There was this girl helping out with the face painting - mid to...

Hi All,
I guess that not many people know I'm starting University in Sept 2010, and I'm looking for an Au-Pair (for two little girls) to start Aug 2010.

As a bit of background, so that if you know anyone who would want to Au-Pair, I live in London, 30 mins by metro from Oxford St/ Central London. Its a very multicultural neighbourhood...

We played Lat Long Make out this evening. Its an easy game to play you take your birth date and your partners birth date and then a quick google maps later you find out where you should go and have a snog (if it falls in the ocean you can adjust) . . . ours is in Cancun. Look like we know where we're going on holiday...

I saw an absolutly ridiculous advert on TV last night, Kenco Coffee are reducung their packaging by 97%, oh fuck off you marketing retards... how stupid do you think I am, obviously very judging by the shit in your advert. The coffee is still 100% enclosed isn't it. Why not be honest reduced the cost of the packaging by 97% whilst keeping the retail...

I've started applying for jobs as an EFL Teacher in my local borough. Lets see how far I get. It'll be interesting, hubby's offered to buy me a stab vest... this can be a bit of a doubious place at time esspecially dealing with some of the more difficult cultural elements such as a woman teaching a man (yes that does happen...

sounds fun. I love to read, but i'm so tired that when I sit down I get a few pages in then doze off. ugh. I'm such an old lady. My grandmother actually falls asleep with her dinner plate, I can't wait til that happens.
But currently I'm reading "Freakonimics". These days i'm an informational reader, self help, nonfiction, whatever (I want to learn when I read since I don't have lots of time to read) - versus fiction or stories or whatever. If i'm going to read things like that I'd rather just watch the movie its faster! Before I was a mom I read a lot of stuff just for pleasure, horror novels and whatnot smile

ribbonsundone:

Could it be that you are just smarter than you think? Perhaps the instructor will include enough real life examples to keep it interesting. It is kind of a bummer when a challenge falls flat. robot

Yesterdays art has now gone all scabby boohoo!!!

Does anyone know an Artist who does Mucha tattoos here in London, or (OK I know this bit is cheeky) has the talent to replicate a Mucha exactly?
freakykitty:
