Spontaneously I decided to check out the Of Montreal show in Philly last night. I don't know a whole lot about them, but they definately put on a good show. They're kind of 60's retro/powerpop/barbershop. Good head-bobbing, jumping up and down in place music.

The opening band was called "Management" and was interesting. They were just two guys who danced around and sang over pre-recorded...

Aaaaaaaa...why does it have to be so fucking hot? This just sucks. I was planning on going into the city and doing some cd shopping today (yes, I still buy CD's, I'm archaic like that) but really, who the hell feels like sitting in a car/train today for any amount of time today? It's too muggy and miserable out to do anything that requires more...

I just finished "Life of Pi", and....what!?

Actually, it says a lot about the quality of this book that I finished it in two sittings. I am a notoriously slow reader when I'm reading something that doesn't really capture my imagination (I've been slogging through a certain biography bit by bit for the better part of a year) but I can make very short work...

Wow, it's been a while.

Since my last entry, I have:
- Moved into a new apartment, also in Wayne PA. (No roommates, yay!!!!)
- Gone on backpacking excursions to both Spain and Ireland.
- Completed two semesters at Villanova.
- Launched a crappy, attempted comedy website; (still trying to figure out what to do with it.)
- Had my computer die a slow, painful...

I just got back from NYC, oh my god, I so want to live there. That city is frigging addictive. I don't know why I decided to move to the Philly area last year when NYC was right there all along, I guess I was a little intimidated by it all, but now I think I made a mistake. Not that there is anything wrong...

NYC is wild! I went there once for spring break (fuck the whole Cancun Crap) and had a Riot! I must say that for the most part, everyone I met that was from NY or Long Island was absolutely insane. fucked in the head one way or another.

My lease is up in less than a month, but I'll be sticking around stupid Wisconsin for even longer... frown Some day I may move out of this crappy state..some day whatever

gabba gabba hey,

Okay, I apologize if this is really long winded and confusing, but since I doubt anyone is reading this anyway, who cares?

I originally had a journal entry for yesterday, it was my typical crappy observational comedy, in this case dealing with the Adkins diet, something that I have always found absurb, but I wont get into that right now.

At the...

So anyway,

I'm back to going to the gym everyday this week now that my arm is more or less healed (still a little purple, but feeling good). As you'd know if you ever saw me, I'm not a serious body building freak, but I go to the gym because I've heard that moving is good for your health, or something, and I really enjoy...

I've been thinking lately of hyphonated last names...never quite saw the point of them, but I'm seeing more and more lately.

My favorite hyphonated last names are the ones in which the husband and wife are clearly of different ethnicities. I work with a woman whose last name is "Rodriguez-MacDougal".

I think that when people get married, instead of taking the mans name or the...

I kind of agree about the hyphonated names. It just seems to make things more complicated to for the woman. Especially with any kind of documentation. Now call me old fashioned but I really believe in the woman taking the husband's last name. It's just the way I was brought up I guess, but if it came down to it, if the woman wouldn't be willing to take my name, then to me, she isn't worth marrying.

Btw your concept on name mashing sounds very cool also. Especially if the last names were like Jackson, and Glass.
