It's a mystery to me that I never saw Keanu Reeve in all his splendor in this movie before. I'm old enough to have seen it in the theaters but missed that. My friend had it on DVD but I got drunk and fell asleep (or maybe high I dont remember). I also think at the time the concept kind of freaked me out so I might have subconsciously tuned out. And somehow it was never on cable when I was watching TV this whole time. Now that I have Kodi on my set I can watch any movie anytime so I made a point to finally see The Matrix. It was worth it. Not my fave movie of all time, but I appreciate the Hero's Journey archetype that is similar to Star Wars. That archetype was also described in Joseph Campbell's research in case you want to Google it.

And since it's the 40th anniversary of the original Star Wars movie maybe I'll watch that next.
