if your going to NY for the weekend- the last weekend of the year, the entire city will be lit up! Well, at least uptown and midtown and of course- down town. Check out some regular clubs like Webster Hall, and club Exit (if its re-opened). You can also check out something that may be going on in Central Park (in the summer and my guess would be in the winter, bands like to perform for free). If you dont like any of the spots I just mentioned- you can check out Saint Marks Sq. they have the cities best pizza, and some hard core punk clubs. If your not going to stay in the city, or if you'd perfer less havoc, check out whatever is going on in Queens, or in Brooklyn. To give you some specifics try: Astoria, Queens; Cooney Island, Brooklyn; Long Island City. Steer clear of the Bronx and other ghettos (JLo comes from there!)
I can check what my friends are doing for the end of the year- they know all the hot spots and what is going down for those days. Ill keep you posted, if you'd like.
