My mother is upset that I'm visiting her with only kind words and a hug.

Oh it'll be a long weekend.

I'm going to watch Big Fish now.

Then I'm watching House of Sand and Fog.

Then I'm watching Lots in Translation.

Then I'm rereading The Master and Margarita. I'm supposed to travel down to DC to see a show of it next friday and meet a few friends.

Oh my heck.

IT IS ALL OK. I HAVE TWO KITTENS WITH ME THAT ARE AMAZINGLY CUTE. RIGHT KAYLA?

and the cats were only cute when your mom first got them. i bet they are all grown and less fun now.

My mother scolds me whenever I buy anything for her -- flowers, cards, Christmas gifts... she says I spend money too easily.

This year she gets nothing but kind words and a phone call! And I do mean NOTHING!
