I'm alone tonight, save for the 4 kitties that are purring and slumbering behind me on the bed. Oh, and a very loud, guitar-playing neighbor freak downstairs, who is apparently entertaining himself by rabidly playing 80's-style, big hair solos along with "Santa Monica" by Everclear. (Don't ask. I don't get it either.)
Brian joined a soccer league (go Brian! go Brian!) and he's out with the team playing in the rain. Psycho, yes, but at least he's motivated. I would have gone, but the weather and the chilliness made sitting on a cold, hard - not to mention wet - metal bleacher whilst trying to be a good cheerleading future wife to my soccer-playing dynamo sound less than appealing. He said he'd scope out the spectator accomodations for me, since this will be the first in a series of games and he's never been to tthe venue. I promised him I'd go next time. Rain or shine.
So... here I sit. Fresh out of the shower. Blue jeans. A red and black long-sleeved baseball ringer with "MY RUIN" emblazoned across the chest. Barefooted. Barefaced, except for the g33k girl glasses sitting on the bridge of my nose. Nothing to do. I thought about calling Shane and dragging him to see Bowling For Columbine with me, but I figure he's most likely busy since it is Saturday evening and all.
I suppose my website could use a few new stories in the ATTIC, and tonight would be a perfect time to crank up some Rasputina on the digital Victrola and get to it, but... I'm just not feeling it. Maybe it's the Christmas blues. I keep reading stories about shopping and presents and seeing pictures of trees and lights and since there really isn't any of that for us this year, I'm feeling a little left out.
Hope everyone else is having a MUCH better, much sexier Saturday night than I am.
