Hi.

I am curious about modeling for Suicide Girls (I've modeled for other various websites, and xxx on Livejournal said that you had modeled with them. I wanted to talk to other women about the site before I got involved with working with them.

I was curious as to what your experience was with the site. I have heard very general "good" and "bad" reviews from ladies, but don't really know why they've had a good or bad SG experience.

I would really value your insight, if you have the time and energy to spare it.

Actually, that information is inaccurate. I've never been a model for Suicide Girls. My photo sets were turned down. Although I have recruited several prospective ladies for them, two of which submitted photos (from what I gather) and one became quite successful with them. I haven't modeled for the site, at least not officially, but I was a huge advocate for the project in its beginning and blossoming stages.

I would say that the decision to model nude or partially nude is entirely up to you, but I wouldn't expect large amounts of money or fame from doing so. There are also the obvious drawbacks to doing this type of modeling, which I'm sure you've considered already. You should also be prepared to follow the contractual guidelines and other social "rules" put in place by the management therein. These are supposedly things that are set up to protect everyone involved. All things considered, I wouldn't take this sort of thing too lightly.

The site has become a fairly recognizable entity and a money-maker for the developers and staff, to be sure, so it would be nice to see them retain their integrity and not become too glossy and "Hollywood" or "porno-lized". Maybe they could even kick down with some of the connections and discounts they get to the girls who have modeled for them with ambitions for certain areas of entertainment. Maybe they're doing this already though. Who am I to say?

Still, the community is a good time. The people I've met as a result are high class, lots of fun, and genuinely kind. The function and purpose and feel of the site and the community as a whole is one of social acceptance and positive feelings.

I came back recently after a two-month hiatus to get married and refresh my view on things only to find a gorgeous photoset by my favorite model and good friend. That was a nice welcome back! I'm a huge fan of several of the girls, and I have made a lot of real friends there. That said, I'd say that if you're a strong woman, with a sense of self and style, then go for it. (Tell them I sent ya! Heh...)
