- opened a micro-lending account on Kiva, made my first micro-loan to a 19 year old guy in Peru who runs an animal feed selling business

- completed some Urgent Evoke missions - it's a cool web game developed to help people change the world - it's almost over

Oh academia, for many years you were my albatross - for although I love learning, I hate bureaucracy, officialdom, deadlines, rules and regulations. Not to mention that I had non-stop life chaos (so much moving!) throughout university. And now... you're baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Conundrum -

I've talked a bunch about working in Russia in the summer. They originally offered me a two-part position, where the pay was reasonable, but now they seem to only be offering me the teaching part of the position, which will barely (or not completely) cover my travel costs getting there and back.
