When an individual is really thinking, he is tremendously isolated. He may manage to isolate himself in Grand Central Station, but it is despite the environment rather than because of it. I remember a time in my life when I made things happen. Now it seems I'm just crumpled up in a fetal position hoping life won't bootstomp me to death.
