I was extremely miserable and tired today, due to the practically non-existant amounts of sleep I've been getting. But evaluating the day as a whole.. it turned out well.

First I had an amazing thing occur during the little sleep I did get - part of my dream, much like in Kill Bill, was in an animated section. I didn't know it was even possible to have a dream in animation.. I'd never heard of it before.. maybe someone else has had it.. or maybe I'm the first.

I also didn't get reamed out from my teacher.. which I expected to receive, and also got in 3 job applications which I was worried about. Downed 2 Cafe Mochas.. which helped.

On the lameness note - I ran into a friend and she and her boyfriend (both good friends of mine) broke up because he cheated on her and didn't tell her. Also I was incredibly stupendously tired. Said friend, she also gave me a good job recommendation.. so I'll be checking that out tomorrow.

Also on a positive note - I think that I finally got just the breakthrough in my play that it needs to work.. the beginning is really fun and I have a few ideas for the ending now. I might actually finish this sucker on time AND have it not suck. Which would be teh cool.

So to summarize:

Bad:

- extreme fatigue
- saw a bad play
- general unpleasantness
- good friends breaking up
- didn't see my girlfriend

Good:

- got in job applications
- got another job recommendation
- got and wrote part of a play breakthrough
- found out who has my missing Cramps cd
- had animated section in my dream
- teacher was understanding and helpful.

And the scales slip slightly to.. good.

Tres bien.

ps. how hard should I try to go to the Cali. prom? and such my girlfriend will in all likelyhood not be able to make it, who will be my (strictly platonic mind you) date?

pps. does anyone live in San Fran that I could potentially stay with?
