I think the air in Shanghai is flammable. Good thing I don't smoke.
It was nice to drink coffee and have sandwiches though.
I bought pygmy 2nd row tickets to go see uber-violinist Gidon Kremer for her birthday and took her out for Italian dinner in the French Concession for our 1 year anniversary.
We also met a lovely old man who will be repairing her cello.
We wondered around Shanghai, but didn't see too much. The city's a huge construction zone choking with cement dust in preparation for the Shanghai World Expo 2010. Like most Chinese cities I've visited the city feels like a gigantic insanely polluted megamall with the best food court you've ever tasted. We were there for such a short time I wasn't able to meet up with any of my local friends, who could have probably showed us some cooler stuff. Next time I want to go to the Chinese Propaganda Art Museum.
Got kind of lost on the way back, but finally managed to locate the long distance bus station (it's behind the massive train station). Now we're back home.
I probably won't be around too much in the next little while as I'll be participating in National Novel Writing Month during November. Wish me luck.
