It's about time to get out of this small town.. usually I can't make it visiting my parents in a 1000 person town for this long.. pygmy has helped greatly. I'm also teaching myself a variety of new skills, although not writing / exercising as much as I'd like. Although exercising here is difficult as I have to ask my Mom for a ride to go anywhere and she's already pretty busy. Waaaay too much Christmas food. I'm going to have to sweat it all off poolside (and in the pool) in Sydney.

Australia is only a couple of days away and it seems like things are coming together.

I think until I drop a pound or two I'm going to be a sweaty mess in Sydney though. -25 doesn't phase me.. but that down under heat just might.. we're going to need an apartment (refuge) with A/C for sure.

Once I have proper internet and I'm not posting from a small town library I'll be able to upload some photos of our wintry adventures - icy waterfalls, snow shoeing and all that jazz.
