The SB-600 is good, ive got one of those that i do all my live music stuff with.
The D300 is prob classed as more pro than the D90 and its got a magnesium alloy body which will protect it better long term from bumps etc and the spec is slightly higher.
Id say the D300, but it depends on how often you are going to use it I suppose and what for.
You can get the flash for fairly cheap now and same goes for memory cards.

Because it was a male doctor and on a saturday I couldn't get tested, but the diagnosis so far is that I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome but that will be confirmed on monday (with ultrasound, blood tests etc). Ah yeah I went with Canon because I've been using their compacts for a while now.. but if you got a bunch of Nikon stuff already I wouldn't see a reason to switch, maybe pricing, some of the higher end Nikons are just so damn expensive.
