Guess who's going to see The Phantom of The Opera on his birthday? Yes, that's right, this fucking guy! My girlfriend has just brought tickets to see the musical. It's closing in 2024 and I knew that this musical was on my bucket list to see live, and now my girlfriend has guaranteed that I will see it. I've always been intrigued by this musical and last night, I got to watch the 25th anniversary of it at London's Royal Albert Hall on DVD, it changed my perspective of musicals forever. Les Miserables is my favourite musical of all time, but that is another story to be told over Leigh's campfire. Phantom came fucking close to beating that musical and I loved every second of it. Who knows, seeing it live might just sway my views on what is the greatest musical of all time. Personally, I think it will. The Phantom of The Opera is there... inside my mind.
