OK guys and gals, as you can probably guess, I opted against canceling my account. It was only ever going to be a temporary thing anyways but now it seems to be even less temporary. Anyway, I digress, this status isn't about that anyways.
We need to talk about Kevin (I am never going to get fed up with using that movie title, sorry.). Or more importantly, we need to talk about a SG Hopeful who caught my eye back when I spotted her photoset Gypsum River. I speak of the very beautiful @skarlettdemise. Now, I do not like complaining at all, not much anyway, but I feel the need to complain now (I apologize to the beautiful young lady now.)
For good or bad, I have seen SG inundated with models who don't really fit the bill when it comes to having the traditional SG aesthetic and I have seen them go pink, or whatever. Then we get a girl who ticks all the fucking boxes when it comes to the traditional SG aesthetic. Now evidently, I am not in a position to judge what really fits that aesthetic because I am not staff, just a lowly mortal who gets the privilege to gaze upon these Goddesses (You all are, believe me, SGH or SG.) but I'm gonna take a swing and say that, tattooed, with crazily coloured hair and truly beautiful is part of that aesthetic. This is where @skarlettdemise comes in.
The young woman has got six high-quality sets up now and while I have never had the chance to speak to her (Something I intend on rectifying) even I can see by her profile that she is not the sort of model who just coasts by on posting photosets and not commenting or participating in the more social aspects of this fair site. This young woman engages people, she provides support and encouragement to other models and provides little glimpses into her personal life, whether that be discussing bands or talking about how much US doctors suck (I wouldn't know as I am in the UK). This to me, along with the aforementioned aesthetic, is everything that makes a SuicideGirl. I basically implore anyone that follows me, reads my stuff, etc, to throw some fucking support behind this young woman. Go check out her photosets, her photos, even her statuses and comments. Shower this girl with love and support and turn this young woman pink!
I leave you with an apology if it seems I am judging the models who do choose not to engage other people, or engage in the more social side of SG, that is not my intention, but I have seen it happen all too often lately. I also leave you with some photos of this beautiful young woman.
