alright, it's almost 0300 local in Afghanistan. i can't fucking sleep because i drank three vanilla lattes while on guard duty. i drank two during the day, and then drank my third one after 2000 local. not a good idea. actually quite a bad idea. i'm so wired right now. i can't sleep. i can't think straight. i can't stop thinking. i'm driving myself crazy. i keep thinking about how i need to sleep so i can get up for a day of audio production. also, i'm meeting up with my new found french military buddy to learn how to speak french.....

so, here i am. alone. well, i'm not quite alone. i'm in a hootch with four other cats. all i hear is loud breathing (almost snoring but not quite) and music. fuck. and my thoughts....they won't stop.
